Switching to Autogas

Switching to Autogas is simpler than you might think. There are three ways to switch:

Convert your current car
Happy with your car but not fuel prices? Start saving by converting your car to LPG. It's easy - just visit an LPGA Approved Installer, who'll advise you on the best system for your vehicle. We recommend you always use an approved installer as they comply with government standards. It's important for insurance purposes too, as your insurers may ask to see the LPGA certificate.

Buy a new vehicle
There is currently a wide range of Autogas-powered vehicles available, with many well-known car manufacturers now producing high quality models. A number of factory fit models are also on the market.

Buy a used vehicle
The UK market for used cars and vans that have been converted to run on Autogas is growing. Many of these vehicles are dual fuel, meaning they run as well on Autogas as they do on petrol. Make sure you obtain the LPGA conversion certificate from the seller, or ask an LPGA Approved Installer to check the vehicle before you buy.
