BP Gas' distribution network

BP Gas Light bottles are also available from authorised distributors and stockists of BP Gas products and selected BP Retail forecourts.

Our authorised distributors provide a first-class customer service, utilising their extensive local knowledge, technical expertise and health and safety training to provide BP Gas customers with LPG - whatever their requirements and wherever it's needed. Many distributors also sell a wide range of LPG-related products - including regulators and hoses - making them the perfect one-stop stop for all your energy needs.

How to buy

When you buy your first BP gas bottle, the price you pay includes a charge for the use of the bottle, as well as for the gas itself. When your BP Gas Light bottle is empty, return it to your selected stockist to exchange it for a full bottle. This time, you'll pay only for the gas.

If you decide you no longer need a BP Gas Light bottle, you may return it to any BP Gas Light bottle stockist and receive a partial refund in accordance with the BP Gas Bottle Refill Agreement. Please ensure you keep this agreement safe after it is provided when you make your first purchase.

Safety instructions

Incorrect storage, handling and usage of gas should be avoided at all times - please follow the following safety guidelines when using BP Gas cylinders:

• Do not use the bottles for any purpose other than the storage of LPG
• Do not use the gas in the bottle to power any vehicle
• Do not allow young children to change bottles or operate appliances
• Bottles must be used and changed in a well ventilated area away from all sources of ignition and heat (e.g. electrical appliances, cigarettes, mobile phones)
• Propane bottles must not be changed or used indoors
• Allow sufficient clearance from heat source when using your BBQ
• Check your appliance hose regularly and replace if worn, cracked or damaged
• Always keep the bottle in an upright position
• Turn off the regulator on the bottle when you have finished using it
• Regulators must be properly fitted. Make sure the base ring of the regulator is pressed down firmly onto the bottle

Advice and assistance

If you smell gas please call BP Gas' emergency number (0845 607 6118). Ensure the area is thoroughly ventilated and extinguish all sources of ignition.

Please report any other fault with your bottle to your point of purchase.
