BP Gas' butane bottles are available from authorised distributors and stockists of BP Gas products and selected BP Retail forecourts.

Our authorised distributors provide a first-class customer service, utilising their extensive local knowledge, technical expertise and health and safety training to provide BP Gas customers with LPG - whatever their requirements and wherever it's needed. How to buy

When you buy your first BP gas bottle, the price you pay includes a charge for the use of the bottle, as well as for the gas itself. When your BP Gas Light bottle is empty, return it to your selected stockist to exchange it for a full bottle. This time, you'll pay only for the gas.

If you decide you no longer need a BP Gas bottle, you may return it to any BP Gas bottle stockist and receive a partial refund in accordance with the BP Gas Bottle Refill Agreement. Please ensure you keep this agreement safe after it is provided when you make your first purchase

A portable, independent fuel source
Practical and safe, BP Gas butane cylinders can be moved easily from room to room, making them ideal for use in mobile cabinet heaters.

Ideal for indoor use
Designed and approved for use indoors, butane cylinders can be used safely throughout your premises. Butane should always be used at temperatures above 0° Celsius, so it's unsuitable for use in very cold conditions.

Standard gas for many appliances
Available in 7kg and 13kg bottle sizes, butane from BP Gas is a safe, efficient and clean way to fuel many standard mobile heating appliances.

Heating your workplace
Butane is the ideal gas cylinder for powering mobile heaters in the workplace. Easily transportable, our cylinders are compatible with most standard portable and cabinet heaters.

Incorrect storage, handling and usage of gas should be avoided at all times - please follow the following safety guidelines when using BP Gas cylinders:

• Gas bottles are highly flammable and should be kept away from sources of ignition and naked flames
• Bottles should be placed in an upright position to ensure vapour rather than liquid is used
• Keep your bottle outdoors at all times, on firm, level ground and in a well-ventilated position
• Do not keep your gas bottle in a cellar, basement or sunken area
• Bottles must be accessible, should not cause obstructions and must be protected from damage or interference by persons, animals or vehicles
• Bottles should not be positioned near to windows, doors, airbricks, flues, ducts, drains, gullies or openings to cellars
• Bottles should also not be located within near to any corrosive, toxic or oxidising materials
• The area around bottles should be kept clear of litter, long grass or anything else that is flammable

Advice and assistance

If you smell gas please call BP Gas' emergency number (0845 607 6118). Ensure the area is thoroughly ventilated and extinguish all sources of ignition.

Please report any other fault with your bottle to your point of purchase.
